Experienced School Leader Dr. Zachary Robbins

An accomplished school leader, Dr. Zachary (Zac) Robbins has written academic texts such as The Teachers Black Students Need and Becoming a Social Justice Educator. He has written for academic publications, including Edutopia, and made keynote presentations for school districts and universities throughout the nation. Dr. Zachary Robbins focuses his work on subjects such as restorative justice, building trust with marginalized communities, and equity in education.

Dr. Zac Robbins spent 15 years managing 2800 students, 175 employees, and a $9 million budget as the principal of Cheyenne High School in Las Vegas. He maintained a graduation rate of over 90 percent during his time in this role. More recently, he served as the superintendent of schools for Marysville School District 25 in Washington, during which time the district experienced a 15 percent decrease in behavior referrals and suspensions. Attendance and graduation rates also improved under his leadership.

Zachary Robbins holds an English literature degree from Howard University with a minor in secondary education. He completed a master of education administration and policy program at the Howard University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences while teaching three grade levels of high school English. In addition to his doctor of educational leadership from the Boston College Lynch Graduate School of Education, Zac Robbins holds a master of business administration from the University of Phoenix.
